Event Description:
The Basic Arrhythmia course is designed to teach nurses, monitor technicians and other ancillary personell the skills required in the analysis and interpretation of EKG monitoring.
Prior to course, workbook must be paid for and pick up in United Regional's Education Department (4th floor of the 8th Street Campus).
Instructors ask that participants read the first 5 chapters before the first class.
This is a two-day course - September 1 and 8.
Future course will be held on October 20 & November 3.

Did you know that 8 hours after a smoker quits smoking the carbon monoxide level in their blood drops to a normal range...that 24 hours after a smoker quits smoking the chance of having a heart attack decreases... that 1 year after a smoker quits smoking the excess risk of experiencing coronary artery disease is cut in half of that of a smoker?
The decision to quit smoking is a hard one and we know that. And, it is a decision that affects your everyday life and your health.
Are you interested in learning how to stop? Then join United Regional's Smoking Cessation Course.
The course is a 4 session course and is taught by registered respiratory therapists. The program is designed to help participants stop smoking by providing them with all of the essential information and strategies needed to direct their own efforts at quitting including addressing the behaviors, thoughts, and feelings of the smokers. Those attending the class will receive free nicotine replacement therapy during the course.

Registration fee is $25 per person.
Support persons are encouraged to attend the class as well.

TNCC includes a corel evel trauma knowledge base of trauma injuries and current treatment modalities. The 2-day course consists of lectures, demonstrations and skill stations, airway and ventilation interventions, chest trauma interventions, splinting and immobilization techniques.
