If you decide to entrust us with your care, it will be our pledge to provide you with the greatest possible level of care.
Patient Relations Coordinators
A patient relations coordinator is available to help you make your hospital stay more enjoyable.
Feel free to call and ask for assistance. You have a right to register complaints regarding the quality of care you receive at United Regional or services that fall short of your expectations. To do so, call the patient relations department, Monday through Friday during normal business hours, at the number listed below:
Interpreter services are available for patients in many languages. If your English is limited, your nurse can access a medical interpreter for you. If you are speech or hearing impaired, we will provide an interpreter who signs American Sign Language, via an internet web cam or in person. TDD (Telecommunication Device for the Deaf) phones and closed captioning televisions are also available for those with hearing impairments.
TIGR TV is an interactive patient education system featuring video-on-demand access to a library of educational videos. Using the telephone in your room, you may select and view educational programs any time, day or night. Clinical staff may also assign educational videos for you to watch based on your health needs.
To order a video, dial ext. 4020, and you will be instructed on how to select videos and what television station to tune to in order to view the video. For assistance, please contact your nurse. There is no charge for video viewing.
Your physician may refer your hospital care to a hospitalist. Hospitalists are physicians who specialize in the medical care of hospitalized patients working in partnership with your physician to provide care to you during your stay.
The hospitalists will:
- assess and treat your medical condition
- coordinate medical testing during your stay
- provide progress reports to your physician
- transition your care back to your physician upon your hospital discharge
If you have questions regarding the hospitalist program, please call 764-3983.
