The Respiratory Care team at United Regional Health Care System is dedicated to helping those who smoke to stop smoking so that they can enjoy good respiratory health. Quitting smoking is one lifestyle change that can make the biggest improvement in your health and prolong your life.

Stopping is not easy, but is it possible. Becoming smoke free is a gradual, step-by-step process. It is a very personal decision to quit and it may take several attempts to stop smoking. People are quitting every day and you can be one of them!

There are many strategies to help one stop smoking and many, many physical benefits to having stopped. Those benefits are eye opening!

Beside the personal health benefits to stop smoking, there are family and financial benefits. Your family benefits as you are reducing their risks of cancers due to second hand smoke and you are setting a good example for others to follow. Financially, you can save hundreds of dollars each year that would be spent on cigarettes and you can save money on medical, life and even auto insurance premiums.
