Physical Therapy

Physical Therapy is a vital part of the recovery process for people who have sustained injuries or had major surgeries. Physical Therapy is also an important step for people with certain genetic or degenerative diseases. The Therapists at United Regional have worked with patients dealing with a number of issues including sports injury rehabilitation, various musculoskeletal conditions and neurological diagnoses.

Our patients feel confident on the road to recovery when working with our dedicated staff because we're committed to providing the best care. We work with each patient individually to evaluate limitations and formulate treatment plans. Treatment plans will vary based on each patient's needs, but the ultimate purpose of treatment is to prevent or reduce the severity of each patient's disability and pain with the goal of restoring lost function.

The three main goals of physical therapy are:

Rehabilitation - Exercise programs designed to reach functional goals of patients, like restoring flexibility and correcting posture or educating patients on activity modification.

Pain Management - Hands on techniques designed to relieve pain. These include joint mobilization/manipulation and neuromuscular therapy.

Sports Medicine - Integral in both prevention and recovery, our physical therapists provide post-injury follow ups and offer pre-season physicals and injury screening.
