United Regional offers a flexible benefits plan that includes medical coverage, dental coverage and prescription drug services. Health benefits are available for full–time and part–time employees. Employees pay a small premium each pay period and United Regional covers the remaining cost. We believe we have the best employees and we want to provide the best benefits to them.
The Flexible Benefit program allows employees to pay for medical and dental coverage under the Employee Health Plan with tax–free dollars. Additionally, participation in the Health Care Reimbursement and Dependent Care Reimbursement accounts include reimbursement for dependent (daycare) care expenses and certain medical and dental expenses.
United Regional provides Basic Life insurance and Accidental Death and Dismemberment equal to one time the basic annual salary to full–time and part–time employees. Additional Life and AD&D may be purchased by the employee to a maximum of three times your salary. Dependent Life Insurance is optional and provides coverage for the employee’s spouse and dependent children.
Should a full-time or part-time employee become unable to work for an extended period of time due to sickness or injury, long-term disability (LTD), insurance is available to replace part of the lost pay. LTD benefits are equal to 60 percent of basic monthly earnings. Employees receive this benefit at no cost.
Short–Term Disability (STD) is available to full–time and part–time employees who have been employed with the system for at least 1 year and have worked 1,250 hours in the previous year. STD benefits are equal to 70% of employees regularly scheduled work hours at the base rate of pay. Employees receive this benefit at no cost.
Paid time off (PTO) is accrued each pay period by full–time and part–time employees and may be used for vacation, holidays, personal illness or other personal reasons.
United Regional’s 403(b) Retirement Savings Plan enables employees to save for the future and enjoy a tax break at the same time. Employees contribute each pay period and United Regional matches 100 percent of the employee’s savings to a maximum of four percent of his/her contribution after one year of employment and 1,000 worked hours.
United Regional encourages employees to continue their education with 100 percent financial assistance. Work flexibility and educational assistance allows employees to attend school while maintaining full time pay and benefits. The employee, in return, agrees to remain employed at United Regional for a specified period of time.
United Regional encourages continuing education and will financially assist employees with tuition in areas mutually beneficial to them and the System.
United Regional employees can take advantage of the on–site fitness room as well as health and nutrition educational opportunities. United Regional employee health benefits also include vaccinations and annual health screenings at no cost.
United Regional offers a supplemental Cancer Expense Plan to full–time and part–time employees. The levels of benefits payable are determined according to the level of benefits selected by the employee and benefits are paid directly to the employee for medical and non-medical cancer related costs.
