Ways to Donate

There are many ways to give to United Regional Foundation. Please use the information below to consider what type of gift is best for you.

Current Gifts

Cash – A cash gift by check is one of the most common and easiest methods for making a contribution. You will receive a charitable deduction if you itemize on your tax return and see the immediate results of your generosity.

Credit card – A credit card gift is often a choice of many. Simply call the Foundation office at 940-764-8205, or click on the Donate Now button below.

Securities – If you contribute appreciated securities held more than one year, you will find you are able to make significant gifts and avoid being taxed on the gain.

Legacy Circle

Comprised of those whose estate plans include United Regional Foundation and Children’s Miracle Network. The Legacy Circle honors those whose generosity and foresight will make an enduring and positive difference in the lives of others. Gifts for the future help support excellence in health care for all the communities served by United Regional. Your help is needed as we plan the many facility improvements, new programs, and equipment purchases necessary to touch and improve lives in north Texas. Legacy Circle membership is available for those who notify United Regional Foundation that they have included the Foundation and Children’s Miracle Network at United Regional in their estate plans.

A planned gift is one legally provided for during the donor’s lifetime, but whose principal benefits do not accrue to the charity until some time in the future, such as the death of the donor and/or the income beneficiary or at some specific date. For more information contact the Foundation or call 940-764-8205.

United Regional Foundation would be grateful to accept a wide variety of planned or legacy charitable gifts, the most common of which are briefly described below.

Bequests – The most common form of gift planning, a bequest, is a gift of an asset through a donor’s will. The amount of the bequest is not included in the donor’s taxable estate. Your may designate a specific amount, a percentage of your estate, or the residue of your estate.

Life Insurance – You may include United Regional Foundation as sole beneficiary or a percentage beneficiary of an existing policy or name United Regional Foundation as the new owner of a paid up policy.

Pension Funds – Naming United Regional as the beneficiary of your pension or IRAs or making the Foundation the beneficiary through the “Pay on Death” provision of certificates of deposit and savings accounts are additional ways of making gifts that take effect after your death.

Charitable Remainder Trusts – To secure a fixed and often increased income, you may wish to consider a charitable remainder trust.
