Healthy Lifestyle Program
This program will teach you healthy habits that can last a lifetime – all while lowering your risk of type 2 diabetes.
A certified Lifestyle Coach Specialist will lead one-hour classes once a week for 16 weeks, then monthly for six months.

Survival Skills Classes
Do you have questions about a recent diagnosis of diabetes, heart failure, respiratory disease or sepsis? Unsure of what to do until you are able to see your physician?
United Regional provides a basic survival skills class for each of these conditions. The free classes are held Monday through Friday; there is even an option to attend virtually from the comfort of your own home through secure video visits on your computer, tablet or smartphone!
The classes can be especially helpful for those who may have been recently discharged from the hospital and are awaiting a follow-up visit with their physician. During the class, a registered nurse can also address your specific questions and concerns.
Diabetes: This class helps those with diabetes learn more about necessary equipment and how to better manage their blood sugars to maintain optimal health.
Heart Failure: This class provides education on a how to monitor the signs and symptoms of heart failure so patients can check in with themselves each day and maintain optimal health.
Respiratory Diseases: This class helps those with breathing conditions understand how to manage their disease and medications, as well as properly and safely use necessary equipment, to maintain optimal health.
Sepsis: This class is designed to help those with a diagnosis of sepsis or a recent infection that could develop into sepsis. Attendees will learn the necessary skills to prevent further infection and maintain optimal health.
