Medically Supervised Weight Loss Trial (MSWLT) Program

This program is designed to meet the requirements of insurance providers for patient education and medical supervision before bariatric surgery. United Regional Solutions accepts most insurance providers and is a Blue Cross Blue Shield, Blue Distinction Center for Bariatric Surgery. See more insurance options for weight loss surgery.

Weight Loss Education Program Requirements

To participate in our Medically-supervised weight loss trial (MSWLT) program, you must meet the following criteria:

  • You have been referred to this program by a physician
  • You have consulted with your insurance company and they have provided you with the guidelines on how many classes you need to attend and how often.
  • You must reserve your seat for the class you wish to attend. Classes are popular and fill up fast.

During each session you receive:

  • Medically supervised weight loss trial classes
  • Sound nutrition tips
  • Monthly medical monitoring, including blood pressure and weight
  • You are educated on low calorie diets, exercise and behavior modification

Schedule:

Each class must be 25 days apart in order to be accepted by insurance. Classes are facilitated by the bariatric program coordinator, are one hour in duration and held at United Regional Solutions, Barnett Road Medical Building, 4327 Barnett Road, Wichita Falls, TX 76301.
