At United Regional Health Care System, our goal is to provide patients, families and visitors with compassionate care and professional service. The System is dedicated to improving the health of the communities we serve and providing state–of–the–art technologies and facilities for our patients. Our employees are skilled, caring healthcare professionals and our medical staff is composed of highly qualified physicians. We are committed to maintaining a clean, comfortable and safe environment for patients, their families and visitors.

Employees of United Regional who have direct contact with patients maintain current licensure and certification. For those employees not directly related to patient care, their qualifications are appropriate for their job responsibilities. Patient Advocates

A patient advocate is available to help you make your hospital stay more enjoyable.

Feel free to call and ask for assistance. You have a right to register complaints regarding the quality of care you receive at United Regional or services that fall short of your expectations. To do so, call the Patient Relations Department, Monday through Friday during normal business hours, at the number listed below:

Communication Needs

Interpreter services are available for patients in many languages. If your English is limited, your nurse can access a medical interpreter for you. If you are speech or hearing impaired, we will provide an interpreter who signs American Sign Language, via an internet web cam or in person. TDD (Telecommunication Device for the Deaf) phones and closed captioning televisions are also available for those with hearing impairments.

URHCS Provides free aids and services to people with disabilities and free language services to people whose primary language is not English, to communicate effectively with us, such as:

○ Qualified sign language interpreters
○ Written information in other formats (large print, audio, accessible electronic formats, other formats)
○ Qualified interpreters
○ Information written in other languages

Hospitalist Program

Your physician may refer your hospital care to a hospitalist. Hospitalists are physicians who specialize in the medical care of hospitalized patients working in partnership with your physician to provide care to you during your stay.
