Our endocrinology team at United Regional is dedicated to understanding your unique endocrine system needs to provide you with individualized, high-quality care. 

The endocrine system includes glands that regulate critical body functions such as growth, metabolism, blood pressure, mood, and reproduction. Common conditions treated include diabetes, thyroid disorders, and adrenal gland disorders. A referral is required in order to schedule an appointment with an endocrinologist. 

Our endocrinology experts provide diagnoses and treatments for a range of conditions affecting the pituitary gland, hypothalamus, pancreas, adrenal cortex, thyroid and gonads, including:

• Type 1 and type 2 diabetes
• Gestational diabetes
• Pituitary gland disorders
• Adrenal gland disorders
• Thyroid disorders including hyperthyroidism (Graves’ disease) and hypothyroidism

Many endocrinological disorders can be diagnosed with lab tests which are ordered by your provider. For more complicated thyroid disorders, United Regional offers ultrasound and biopsy procedures. The ultrasound will detect the necessity of the biopsy, and the biopsy will require radiologist approval before it can be performed.
