Emergency and Trauma Services
When every second counts, patients at United Regional’s ER have immediate access to the resources of a full-service hospital – a cardiac catheterization lab, operating suites, intensive care, advanced diagnostics, life-saving technology – all without having to travel to another facility. And United Regional is designated as a Level II Trauma Center – meaning that we have a trauma surgeon available at all times and that we can manage the most severely injured trauma patients from ER to operating suites to intensive care and through to discharge. So, no matter what your injury or illness, patients receive expert emergency treatment provided by emergency medicine physicians and a full complement of physician specialists working together to coordinate your care.
As the only full service health care system and Level II trauma center in the region, United Regional sees approximately 75,000 patients in the emergency room each year, or 200 to 300 patients per day, depending upon the time of year.
