Virtual Nursing

United Regional delivers advanced patient care by integrating virtual nurses alongside bedside nurses within specified hospital units/departments. This proven model offers secure, seamless support using familiar technology.

Choose United Regional

Powered by care.ai® technology, virtual nursing ensures continuity of care, privacy, and a secure experience — all delivered through your in-room television, similar to a video call. Every virtual nurse is a member of our United Regional team, committed to delivering compassionate, secure, and thorough care.

How can virtual nursing help you?

Virtual nurses support patients in stable condition with a wide range of services, including:

  • Admission and discharge assistance
  • Medication support
  • Vital sign monitoring
  • Answering patient questions
  • Coordinating care transitions

Rest assured, you have full control over your virtual visit.

  • When a virtual nurse connects, your television screen will turn gray.
  • The virtual nurse will introduce themselves and ask for your permission to enable a two-way video connection.
  • If you are not ready for a virtual visit, you can decline.
  • The camera will remain off and will be pointed away from you until the virtual visit is in progress.
  • No video files are recorded or stored, and no pictures are taken, ensuring your complete confidentiality.

Our Approach to Virtual Nursing

Our virtual nursing model is designed to complement bedside care, not replace it. Nurses operate from a centralized location within the hospital, ensuring real-time support and familiarity. The technology mimics FaceTime or Zoom, making interactions intuitive and comfortable.
